lead1Last two decades have completely transformed the landscape of Indian art. Things are looking pretty exciting. The journey traveled by Indian art has been no less than fascinating. From the days of cave paintings to contemporary modern art, it has been a gradual upward journey. Indian art has kept evolving with time. Different eras saw advent of new methods of art and ultimately all of them combined together to form the mesmerizing world of Indian art.

 

World has also started to acknowledge the class and quality of Indian art. More and more art exhibitions of Indian artworks are taking place in different parts of the world. Similarly Indian artists have also started to carve niche for themselves. The class of the artists was never in doubt. It was just a matter of recognition and acknowledgment. That has started to pour in from all and sundry.

 

Foreign shoes had never been so receptive to Indian art. But now a day, many international art fairs are portraying the talent of Indian artists in a way never seen before. Art exhibitions taking place at Sydney (Australia), USA, London, Tokyo and other places witnessed wonderful exhibition of artworks from all over the world and especially, young contemporary Indian artists.

 

Works of upcoming Indian artists like Zarina Bhimji, Amar Kanwar, Navjot Altaf, Alia Syed, Shilpa Gupta and Ranjani Shettar etc have been prominently displayed at leading art exhibitions in specific parts of the globe. That’s no small feat considering the kind of competition faced by these artists. Indian women artists have also started to make their presence felt in an unprecedented way. Going by such events, we can safely say that, popularity of upcoming Indian artists is going to spread further.
